Before you buy an eSIM for Portugal
No registration required for tourist eSIMs. Portugal has strong coverage on Airalo/Holafly (running on NOS or Vodafone Portugal networks).
- Check your exact phone model supports eSIM and is carrier-unlocked. Confirm when the plan's validity starts: at purchase, installation or first network connection.
- Match the data allowance and validity to your trip. Check hotspot support, any speed caps and the fair-use policy before choosing an โunlimitedโ plan.
- Confirm coverage with the provider for your actual itinerary in Portugal, not just the arrival airport. Check whether calls and SMS are included or the plan is data-only.
Check the current provider terms
